Laura has worked effectively as a member of the Colorado National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for the past 12 years. She will continue to support Colorado small businesses. The current representative, during the 2006 and 2007 session supported Colorado small business only 44% of the time. The Grand Junction Chamber of commerce gave him a rating of only 63% in the 2008 session; compared to Representative Steve King and Senator Josh Penry at 83% and 95% respectively.

Laura, once she is elected would NOT support bills like HB 05-1020, to accelerate benefits for laid-off workers; or HB 06-1346, which would have forced health insurance plans to expand the definition of ‘dependent’ to a child ‘under age of 25’
